With the famous phrase "One never steps into the same river twice," Heraclitus articulated one of the fundamental insights of philosophy: everything is in a state of flux. Nothing remains as it is – neither the world around us nor ourselves.
Every moment is unique. Just as the water of a river flows on incessantly, so too does our life constantly change. Experiences, encounters, and perceptions are never identical, because both the external circumstances and our own view of the world are continually shifting.
The exhibition at the Kunsthalle Brennabor takes up this idea and invites visitors to understand change not as loss, but as a creative force. Transformation opens new perspectives, creates space for renewal, and makes clear that life is not a static condition, but an ongoing process of becoming.
At the heart of the exhibition lies the question of how we deal with this constant motion. What does it mean to be present in the moment? How does our perception change when we accept that nothing can be permanently held on to? And what possibilities arise when we understand change as a natural part of our existence?
The exhibition sees itself as an invitation to sharpen one's own perspective on time, change, and transience. It directs attention to the uniqueness of every moment and to the opportunities that lie hidden in every movement and every transition.
